Mig-23 vs Peruvain Mig-29 cost. Hello Flogger. Since your knowledge of the Mig-23/27 series is very strong I’ll direct this at you but others feel free to add in. In 1995 after the Peruvian-Ecuadorian border war Peru’s air force went out and bought in the following year 18 used Mig-29s from Belarus.
The Trump MiG-21 is a nice kit as is the MiG-23 but both are older airframes if you want an "opponent" for something modern like the F-16. Personally, I'd put a MiG-29 next to an F-16 and an Su-27 next to an F-15 if I were matching them up for size and role. Yes the MiG-29 gets expensive if you want anything remotely accurate.

(Photo: PTI) Commissioned into the Indian Air Force in 1985, the MiG-27 remained an integral part of the Indian Air Force's combat strength. It was due to the jet's heroics during the Kargil war that the aircraft earned the nickname "bahadur" from Air Force
The old FM still had great low speed performance, and didn't drop 600+ kmh to dodge one missile. The Original MiG-29 9.12A and 9.13 are still pretty good, but the SMT is an absolute boat with its missing better engines and extra heft, and all lose more speed then a MiG-21 in turns which isn't exactly accurate.

The Cuban MiG-29 force may have been originally planned to be 35 – 45 fighter jets (enough for a full regiment), but economic problems reduced the buy to only twelve MiG-29 “Fulcrum As” and two two-seat MiG-29UB “Fulcrum Bs“. These arrived in October 1989 and, after assembly, were test
The Su-27 is larger and faster, with a maximum speed of Mach 2.35, while the MiG-29 has a top speed of Mach 2.0. Despite their distinctions , both aircraft have been effective in their roles. Various countries, including China and India, utilize them.
The further aft the stabilator is, the longer the moment arm, which means they can be smaller and still have the required pitch moment. But if the majority of the stabilator surface is behind the aircraft fuselage, (as in this case), then, even when the rotation axis is swept back, as it is on many Mig aircraft, the bulk of the aerodynamic surface can be behind the rotation axis, and if so the
The MiG-29 and the F-5 begin by flying in fingertip formation, with the Fulcrum tucked in behind the American-made fighter’s left wing. As the MiG pulls level with the F-5, the latter launches
The MIG-29 is just an inefficient aircraft to operate. Mig 29 costing upward of 11-13k euros per hours to operate and F-16s costing 9-8K per hour to operate. This is also compounded by the fact that the main source of (original new production) Mig 29 parts is currently busy dealing with domestic orders and a war so prices have increased.
Wing thickness ratio (in the streamwise direction) varies from 9 percent for the low sweep position to 5 percent for a sweep angle of 68. An important difference in the wing geometry of the F-14 and F-111 is shown in figures 11.28 (F-111A) and 11.32 (F-14A). In terms of the wing semispan in the low sweep position, the pivot of the F- 14A is 10
