I recently received a Nikon D3100 as a gift. My main interest is capturing images of parts of my body for dental imagery, personal 'snaphots' (yes I know a bit unusual with an actual camera), human faces etc..
Nikon D3100 advantages over Nikon D3500. Bigger pixels. ~ 5.01 vs 3.92 microns. Better low-light and dynamic range (all else equal) Has anti-aliasing filter. Filter vs No Filter. Reduces unsightly
Nikon D3100 review – Features. The Nikon D3100 is the first release of Nikon’s latest generation of DSLR cameras. A brand new 14.2MP CMOS sensor raises the resolution over previous generations and the sensor is now capable of capturing Full HD 1080p movies at a cinematic 24 frames per second (fps) too.
SpikeyLemon. Short answer is no. You could play around with LiveView then video capture through video output. But that is hardly worth tge trouble. Get a webcam and possibly a LED light panel and external mic if you are serious streamer. • 7 yr. ago. To be honest, I think you're better off just getting a HD webcam.
P.S. On the camera itself, I'd be looking to spend not more than around the price of a D7100 and not necessarily immediately. I'd rather take my time and be sure of the right thing than rush into a purchase I might regret. I'd like to stick with Nikon, bearing in mind the lenses I have already. thx again. Sorry for the long first post.
A: This D3100 kit comes with an AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55 f/3.5-5.6G ED II lens and an AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-22 f/4-5.6G ED lens. Both lenses are AF-S lenses which means they incorporate Nikon's Silent Wave autofocus motor and will autofocus on the D3100. Answered 10 years ago by NikonStaff. Helpful ( 1)
