Very similar. Note: for some reason the NR looks worse in the exported jpeg from the 5d mark iv than what I see in lightroom before export. Not sure why. When viewing in lightroom there's less of a difference. Canon’s EOS C300 Mark III has 16 stops of dynamic range and shoots up to 120fps 4K Cinema RAW Light. The iPhone 12 Pro boasts more dynamic range than the Canon EOS R5 in iOS beta. Comparing the Canon EOS R, EOS RP, EOS R5 and EOS R6 head-to-head for portraits. Canon 6D Mark II dynamic range results are disappointing Plus, the Canon 11-24mm F/4 is a really great lens and not something available from the other systems. But, I have to be honest, I would have loved to have some extra dynamic range from time to time, and my Canon 5D Mark II, and then Mark III, have definitely fallen short of the competitors in this category. The improvement diminishes as sensitivity is increased, however the Mark IV still out-performs the Mark III at the highest ISO, with a dynamic range of 6.2 EV vs 5.4. However, data on this chart, when available, is considered to be more accurate. Note that the x-axis is ISO Setting and not a "measured" value. Keep this in mind particularly when comparing to the Ideal lines. Data in tabular form is in the resizable From the Dxomark data, 6D mark ii is 0.3 stop better in ISO, 1.5 bit better in color depth, similar in dynamic range, comparing to original 6D. I took pictures for the kids, so color depth and ISO make more sense to me. I never push shadow at ISO 100, dynamic range is not important to me. Canon EOS R6 at Adorama US for $2,399; Taking a leaf, or two, out of the EOS 1D X Mark III playbook, the EOS R6 inherits the same 20MP sensor resolution as the DSLR but not quite the same sensor u9jDCK.
